| A psychologist or neuropsychologist who knows what he's doing can conduct a series of tests to see how a person thinks and what their strenths and weaknesses are. For example, if someone is highly intelligent in some areas but has trouble processing certain types of information, or has a great vocabulary but has trouble inferring information that is not specifically provided, these could indicate Asperger's. It takes several days of testing and interviewing. It's not an exact science, but a person can learn a lot about how his brain works, and what makes him different from most people. |
