I agree I miss the clothes from the 90's as well and today's fashions are so demeaning to women for the most part.

I don't see them as demeaning, how do they seem demeaning to you? Are you talking about those skinny jeans and tight tshirts? While they are very uncomfortable, I don't think they are demeaning. If somebody has a nice body and wants to show it off, more power to her. I sort of feel that people dress how they want to dress more than how they think they have to dress.

It's really hot lately and I've been wearing shorts and tank tops outside. I try to walk every day to stay in shape, and while I'm glad to know that I still look good in shorts and tank tops, I hate it when guys hit on me just because I have that outfit on.

Yes that is true that people dress how they want and when I say "demeaning" I am referring to women portrayed in TV ads and in the media who are wearing skimpy clothes.

If I remember the late 90's correctly, then the crop tops and lowrise jeans that were so popular back then were very revealing compared to modern women's clothes.

Thankfully, micropenis SUVs like the Escalade or the H2 has experienced a rapid decline in popularity since the previous decade. Smile

Modern fads I don't like:

- Moon boots
- Those high waisted jeans with the zipper in the back
- Glasses with thick, black frames
- Stupid internet memes
- The Toyota Prius

I have two pairs... That I bought back in '06. If I had known that half a decade later they would be the fashion choice of hipsters, then I would have picked out some wire-frames instead.

One stupid fad I'm noticing at the swimming pool is that most girls who wear bikinis mismatch the tops and bottoms. And not in a tasteful way, like different patterns but similar color schemes (which would actually be cool) - but totally different patterns and color schemes. It really is an eye sore.

1) calling each other a variant of the "N-word"
2) people wearing hats with the bill straight or upturned
3) people wearing clothes with the stickers/tags still on
4) "saggers:" pants that nearly drop to the floor
5) people wearing their shoes with loose laces and the tongue sticking out and curled over
6) the "man scarf" thing
7) people wearing (real, not Wally-World imitation or the like) military camo in a sloppy fashion (wear it properly!)
9) skinny pants (on men)
10) people using a cell phone in a restaurant/theater/at a funeral, etc, ignoring their friend/parent/sibling, etc. and talking loudly.
11) people who are loud
12) jersey chasers
13) stupid phrases that the Internet culture or HotTopic made popular
14) inaccurate shirts. For example, there's a shirt with Gir on it that reads "Double Tacos?! What does it all mean?!" Gir never said this in any Invader Zim episode!
15) People using apostrophes inappropriately. I mention this as a "fad" because when I was young, nobody did this. In junior high, I saw a marked increase in such grammatical atrocities.
I think 15 is plenty for now.
