Does anyone watch this show? I never watched it in it's time but when the first movie came out they repeated it and I was sort of introduced to Spider-Man and as time went on other superheroes too. I've been watching a couple of episodes recently on DVD. Guess I'm in a bit of a Spidey mood especially with the new film coming out. Some people don't like this show and I can see why. It's because of the animation like how they have weird cgi backgrounds when Spider-Man is web swinging or some of the clunky dialouge or perhaps the same constant use of music or the way they keep repeating the same scenes of animation over and over again. It can be a bit rushed at times and I will admit it can get annoying at times. They show one scene in one episode and then they show that same scene again in either the same episode or another one and replace the dialouge. But despite all that I still think it's a pretty good show, it can get annoying at times and while it doesn't have the good writing of say Batman the Animated Series or the action packed pace of the X-Men animated series it's still pretty good. It's not in my top ten but still.

I watched Spider-Man when I was growing up, along with Batman: The Animated Series, and X-men, and very many other cartoons. It definitely was no Batman: TAS, but I thought it was pretty good. Actually, I'm watching the series again on Netflix and I still think it's good.

I was watching a couple of episodes today and of course they all had the same animation problems. In fact in one scene from the X-Men episode there's a moment when Beast says to Spider-Man "There's a genius behind that mask" and Spidey responds with "Takes one to know one blue boy" and while he says that Beast sort of has a dissapointed look on his face and then moments later Wolverine is telling Spider-Man "No matter what happens, you've got friends"(Nice guy) but when he says that they use that same scene of Beast with that face he made earlier, but if you observe closely you can see that the little piece of animation with Beast's face was used specifically for that scene. So(and this will sound weird) the first time he makes that face is repeated from the second time he made it.
