Oh, and one other film I'd definitely recommend if you like gory and cheesy action movies from the 1970s is a film called The Smuggler.

I would like to see any kind of weird/surrealist movies but to have a meaning, not only just for fun
PS. This http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063617/ or this? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0039601/ Very Happy

Yes, it's the film where women and goats are raped (and said goat is then stabbed to death), a lesbian is pissed on and then burnt alive using a blowtorch, a man is forced to drink paint, the starring couple indulge themselves in incestuous sex and masturbation over the photographs of people they just murdered and various people are offed in sometimes ludicrous ways. It's so relentlessly cheesy and crap - with a so-bad-it's-good cheese of a soundtrack that it's good fun though. Smile

I saw it. Crap... it was funny though Laughing

Mystery/Sci-fi: Donnie Darko (2001), The Thirteenth Floor (1999)
Drama: The Elephant Man (1980)
Comedy: Hot Fuzz, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life

"In a strange city where every person seems content beyond reason a new man arrives in town and stirs up trouble by asking too many questions."

Guessing I won't like those clips..? That is, assuming they're gory etc.

Used to be fine with it but have developed a quite severe aversion to it now.. Easier if I know what's coming.
On the note of blood&guts, the "lone wolf and cub" series of films are pretty ridiculous.. I only ever found "shogun assassin" which is of then series. Doubt I could hack it now though, even though I kept count.

And Tequila! Has nobody mentioned hard-boiled yet? Madness;)

Why is it a good movie? lol ignore that, just thinking aloud as it were

Instead of one film, today I recommend the YouTube channel for xmrkungfux I think, or very similar. Has nothing but full length wu shu/wu xia / kung fu movies etc if this is what you seek.
Also Spider-Man 1, 2 &3 are on YouTube atm. Saving private ryan too.. These will be gone soon though, whereas the chop-socky flicks rarely get taken down.

I just watched a mocumentary called Mail Order Wife

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0377088/

The casting was brilliant. Eugenia Yuan was quite convincing as the ultra sexy, sultry, culture-shocked Asian bride, newly arrived in New York, to marry probably the most disgusting man in America, very well played by Adrian Martinez.

It was funny. I highly recommend it.

You can watch the full movie here: http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi50202905/

An oldish sci-fi adventure "flight of the navigator" is Disney so maybe not for everyone but I think it's a charming movie. Plus, I loved it as a kid so I'm already sold.

Google GOD? They're getting a bit full of themselves aren't they lol

Besides, that requires far too much patience. I may watch it, if it's not nasty.

Oh come on, it's so ridiculously gratuitious you can't be actually disgusted by it.

I appreciate you guys are talking taste here, but I felt I should add that I genuinely couldn't watch such video nasties anymore. Not squeamishness so much as pure "O" ocd-style intrusive thoughts.. That is to say, if I saw such things I would likely be tortured by the images, possibly forever because I don't easily forget.

Anyways, not wanting to drain away the fun just saying.

On a lighter note; I finally saw marvel avengers assemble today and had a great time Smile

Awesome sauce on toast with a generous but not overpowering sprinkling of cheese on top.. My lazy review Laughing
