But instead of measuring icon sizes and attempting to calculate the screen space used and therefore establish your own considerations of the veracity and validity of my edit, or nagging away for picky details and further explanations which you're not going to get - supposing you now just simply reconsider your thinking behind posting such an unreasonably massive block of icons?
We're talking about a very large block of identical icons which disrupted the forum display and I consequently reduced in size - not some sort of highly inventive Shakespearean prose, and I really don't think I have anything more to say on it. _________________ Giraffe: a ruminant with a view. |

Okay. Let's leave it at that then.
You didn't have the time to let me know you edited my post, you also don't have the time to reply to my PMs, yet you have the time to edit my posts which were hardly a top priority on your saintly list.
Our friendship has obviously run it's course as your moderator duties mean a lot more to you than to converse with an old friend so just don't attempt to talk to me again. I've lost a lot of respect for you. If our former friendship meant anything to you, you would make the time to reply to my PMs like you used to, you surely could if you wanted but you instead choose to make your moderator status top priority over all. Maybe I'm wrong in thinking you're too busy. If our old conversations bored you that much why don't you just be honest and say? Don't come up with any excuses. Just leave me well alone from now on Cornflake. Just correct me when I'm wrong, as it's your duty, but don't feel the obligation to make any attempt to socialize with me again. And don't give me any nasty comments, just leave this as our last contact. I don't want to have any more to do with you. There shouldn't be any need for you to reply to this as I'm nothing to you anyway and I seemingly don't deserve the time it takes for you to reply. _________________

Still, let's not bicker about unanswered PMs and keep tallies on them like some jealous spinster, eh?
You also misrepresent my reasons for not PMing you about the edit: it had nothing to do with time and as I've already said, everything to do with it being a trivial edit which essentially changed nothing about your post. The fact is, reducing the size of a large block of icons already serving some unclear purpose is simply not important enough to warrant an advisory by PM.
I would have done the same with anyone (actually, I have) and I gave you examples earlier of where I would and would not PM about a change to a post.
But let's not go there either because it impinges too much on your little drama.
I've explained to you before that I treat you no differently to anyone else here - yet once again, you flounce off and go all hissy when I have reason to moderate something you've posted. I've also explained to you that I can't treat you differently from everyone else here.
How many times has it been now? Twice.
And the previous time, where I foolishly thought I could count on your friendship and consequently made a jokey reference about trimming to 6 lines your excessively long signature (12 lines, wasn't it?), instead of issuing a formal PM about it - what happened?
A hissy fit.
I would ask that you at least attempt to gain some perspective on what was actually done but I'm pretty certain I'd be wasting my time.
All this, about a reduction made to a ridiculously large block of sodding icons?
Dear me...

I'm not making any changes to the way I think of you but if you feel the need to walk away as a result of this then there's nothing I can do to stop you. _________________ Giraffe: a ruminant with a view. |

To a couple of members:
Whenever your actions and your words don't match up, yes, I notice.
And when that happens, I am always going to go by your actions because behaviour doesn't lie.
So don't complain later about my choice of actions and say you didn't know.
If you don't like it, well, .
You made your choice. Now I'm making mine. _________________ Diagnostic Tools and Resources for Women with AS: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt211004.html |

This post isn't directed to one person in particular, just a few people I've seen around in my time here:
- Owners of WrongPlanet reserve the right to delete, edit, move, or lock any thread for any reason.
- Posts which disrupt the page format may be edited or deleted by the Moderators.
- Members must read the terms of service. Members who violate the terms of service may be banned or warned depending upon the severity of the violation. By using the forums, you are agreeing to the terms of service.
See if anyone can guess where those came from?
Here is one from another site that I also think applies here:
| Quote: | | As a staff who shows respect towards the members, we ask that you also show respect to us and the decisions we make. As such, the staff has the final say and is responsible for interpreting and enforcing these rules |
...Sorry I just had to |

You're a fairly new member, and one who I was starting to enjoy having around. But my opinion of you changed with one single post when I learned that you have a much different opinion of my special interest than I do. Oh sure, the post wasn't directed at me - but it still hurt because I can't stand it when other people speak ill of the things I'm most passionate about in life.
It's OK though - I don't need your approval to enjoy the things that I do. I don't need anyone's approval. By continuing to enjoy what I enjoy in the face of divergent opinions, I'm staying true to myself. |

I visited this site long before I joined it... I think it took me so long to join partially because people are very good at being indirectly argumentative and pessimistic and partially because I wasn't quite ready to talk about the maladies that were interrupting my own life.
It makes me sad to see that sometimes we don't treat the people most like us the way we would like to be treated. I don't think that these sorts of threads are very helpful in teaching people how to confront confrontation while still not being confrontational. It seems like a way to be spiteful without being responsible for it.
Just saying... _________________ I'm a crab in a lobster world. |

I agree. If you have a problem with somebody either hold it in, live with it, smile, grin and bear it....just try to avoid them or confront them and try and figure out your differences. |

Whatever happens don't say I stopped talking to you. The truth is you never replied to me last and I simply didn't bother to chase you up about it.
I'm tired of always doing the chasing, apologies and holding on when it comes to people. Now it's my turn to not do anything*. And I'm especially not in this case since it's probably presumptuously assumed I'll do otherwise.
If my principles lose me a friendship then so be it.
