I really like that my crappy machine can run it, it looks pretty nice. It's actually really easy to get into too. |
What machine are you using? |
I'm not sure, i just know that i've been playing wow for x amount of years without upgrades and everything technology wise has moved on. I'm scared to work out how far behind i actually am , i've been avoiding other games for ages because everything runs so badly on it and i dont have the money to spend:).
I'm still getting a lot of fun from this, it's the best new game i've played in ages. |
Having the scratch to upgrade can be a challenge, I agree! I went seven years between my last computer and the one I use now.
If you want, I can help you when you do eventually upgrade. There are a lot of choices out there, and simply picking the most expensive part you can afford isn't always the best practice. |

Little late to this party, but I'm a L24-ish barbarian.

| Beat the game a couple of hours ago, started NM mode now. Act 3 was my favorite, I wish there was an Act 5. Diablo was pretty fun to fight. |

Two expansions, each with an additional act, are planned over the next couple of years.
I just got into inferno. I was not prepared. |

Where was this officially announced? I just expected one expansion ala LOD. |

There is supposed to be a quote on this page:
http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/diablo-3-will-have-several-expansions
The quote is mostly Mike Morhaime saying they would like to make expansions annually.
I don't remember where I read the specific quote regarding two expansions, so that may as well be hearsay. |

Venom hydra+blizz is so good. I was dying a lot in NM act 2 then switched my builds and brought a cheap 15k two hander on the AH that made my dps shoot up by over 1k. I'm sad that meteor isn't that great because it was my favorite spell in D2, I loved my orb sorc. Oh well, still a fun game.
Beat nightmare today too. |

I love meteor, but it's just too long a delay between casting and impact. I play with it whenever I get a new rune, but I always put it away again.
Vemon Hydra + Blizzard is amazing. I've been using that combination for multiple levels, along with another build that focuses a bit more on defense and archon usage. I actually beat nightmare last night on my wizard. I went through so many weapons while doing NM too. |

| NeueZiel, saw you on the other day. You're past me by quite a bit. I just got into NM Act 3 with my Wizard. I might need to switch to a two-hander too... |

I got lucky and had an actual decent two hander drop that had more dps than any of the stuff I'm seeing right now in Hell mode. The hardest part about act 3 for me were all the yellow and blues with reflect damage and teleport+lava chain. Azmodan was easier on NM than normal because of venom hydra.
Really, so far in hell mode the yellow and blue mobs are a lot harder than the bosses. Skeleton King was a complete wuss but I died tons of times to other stuff before him.
not even on inferno yet but screw immune minions |

I got a regular edition after my exams and I have a 60 demon hunter in Act I Inferno now. I think I spend most of my money on repair costs because I don't want to let the stupid goat shamans win even though they are described as "mortar illusionist horde invulnerable minions" - or so..
I'm rather proud I got to 60 and Inferno without using the AH but now I gave up and bought a crossbow which got me from 8k dps to 22k and makes life a little easier (and cheaper, too).
The golden and blue monsters are supposed to be harder as their drop chance for rare and unique items are also higher.
I also have another lvl 32 demon hunter and a lvl 18 wizard.
I only have one friend with whom I play sometimes so it would probably be fun to team up. I just won't say too much as I really dislike the chat system.
My tag is Khyrean#2646
