Figured this kind of thread might be useful. So has anyone here watched any of the stuff going on at E3? Seen any of the conferences? What all have caught your interest?
Personally I only really care about the WiiU and Halo 4. Sad to see there weren't any huge first party titles announced for the WiiU, but I didn't expect any and know that they'll be there eventually anyway, and there were some other games that looked interesting, such as Zombie U, Tank! and a couple of others. Mass Effect 3 is going to be a port and Assassin's Creed 3 will be multiplatform but I don't hae either of them anyway, so I might as well consider getting them on the only next gen console I'll be getting. Might even try out Arkham City.
As for Halo 4, I'm still a bit skeptical. They showed a new type of enemy and a new weapon, but that's not enough to convince me of it actually being new altogether when they've included the Covenant once more - that said, someone brought up a question in regards to the Elites being with them again, when they'd disbanded in Halo 2/3. Maybe there's a reason for that. Hell, maybe it's in one of the books that I'm just too lazy to read. Still seems like it could lead to retcons or mistakes. Even so, Halo is pretty much the only multiplayer FPS I'm interested in and I've spent too much time invested in its story to skip out on it now. _________________ About suffering they were never wrong,

I read the first halo book and it was terrible. A crappy version of Ender's game. _________________ Trolls exist! They steal your socks, but only the left ones. I wonder what is up with that?
I just completed all the quests at the recreation of Sony's E3 booth on Playstation Home. I guess they're making their own version of Super Smash Bros. called "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale".
I'll check out all the Nintendo related stuff in a little while on the Wii Nintendo Channel and on my 3DS. The WiiU is supposed to be more powerful than the PS3 I think. That wouldn't be at all surprising since Nintendo's hardware was better during the PS1 and PS2 era.
I don't really care about E3 unless they announce an official US release for the new Fire Emblem, give out info about the new SMT or reveal a new Souls game.

Video games are my number one passion, so super I'm excited. I watched the Microsoft conference yesterday. And I just finished watching the EA event and five hours of coverage on G4.
Assassin's Creed 3 looks amazing. And Halo 4, Tomb Raider, Dead Space 3, Borderlands 2, God of War and Splinter Cell also look freaking awesome. Need money! _________________ Gaming since 1996.

Worst E3. Videgames have plateaued. Nintendo had an open goal and despite having new hardware they still missed.
They didn't have a single game on show that seemed essential. Sony were their usualu deluded selves and MS were insistant on pushing Kinect and a bunch of other non-game related crap. I really cannot get excited about any of the games on show. Another Gears, another Halo, more Uncharted-alikes, yet another Residen Evil.....
If you aren't bored to death of videogames by now, you deserve a medal.

Yeah, I don't have to worry about growing out of video games because the industry is doing a damn good job at making me lose interest.
Anybody else check out the virtual E3 area in Playstation Home? They've did that the past few years, and it's really cool. I'm not sure if it's in every region though.

Didn't check it out on PS Home this time Venger but apparently it was fun and a few virtual goodies to nab
Regarding the conferences:
Nintendo Wii-U teaser: Great!
Microsoft: Where were the games? Couple of neat exclusives but almost all media focused.
Ubisoft: Show of...the show! Assassin's Creed III, Watch Dogs
Sony: Focusing on the cross functionality of their 2 main systems and some last hurrah exclusives for the PS3 this generation cycle. Not bad, but could have been better.
Nintendo conference: Fun to watch showed a lot of promise in the innovation and 3rd party support. A lot of games but not showing the true power of their new hardware has probably scared off a fair few people.
EA: Bleuch! _________________ "A man is but the product of his thoughts - what he thinks, he becomes." - Mahatma Gandhi
