I work part-time for 4 hours. i find it comfortable
i don't have any friends at workplace
so whenever they make a group and hangout i am left out
but since its only 4 hours i don't mind much and neither i am hurt or depressed
too much

but now my supervisor says that they plan to cut off 4 hours and increase our
time to 6 hours

i feel that will worsen situation for me.
i will have to sit alone more hours
get bored alone for more hours
and many times i have to take my son with me to office
when he as a day off at school
so more time for my son

overall i want to avoid this more hours thing
what should i do???

There's not a lot you can do I think.

You have a son so you need a job to provide for him. I would def think about looking at other jobs seeing if you can find something better or finding some coping mechanisms to get through work.

The usual work day is 8 hours, so your still working less than that. Smile

The last job I had (which was over 10 years ago) was supposed to be part time but during a school break they had me working full time and doing different things then I normally did and other people were there that weren't normally there so within a few days I couldn't take it any more, told them I quit, and I never went back.

When I hear relatives talking about having "mandatory overtime" at their job it sickens me. If I had a job pull that on me I wouldn't do it and either let them fire me or quit.

i guess i will keep tripping their questions about being switching to 6 hours and incase i am uncomfortable i will just continue with 4 hours

I honestly don't want to sound harsh, but with so many people these days out of work I wouldn't really complain about a 2 hour increase in your shift.
