It seems like I always seem to say the wrong thing at the wrong time to the wrong person. I feel like every time I open my mouth I offend people. And I really dont mean to it just seems like I always do. I get into disagreements with people all the time because I offend them even when I dont mean to! I always seem to say some thing wrong all the time. Its probably one of the reasons I dont have many friends. I just wish I knew what to say and what not to say at the right time. Any one else ever feel like that??

Try to stop and think what are or about to say, don't just spit it out as soon as it gets into your head.
Also try to judge if its offending or bad/wrong thing to say before actually say it.

Dude! Yes! Fetching nonstop, I have zero friends and everybody ends up rejecting me, pretty soon even everybody on this site will hate me :( in due time, it happens all the time. It is because I speak my mind, people are afraid of sincerity. I am dogmatic too but I try to see everything in other people's eyes and when I think I got it all worded right, IT NEVER COMES OUT RIGHT ANYWAYS! Honestly, I don't understand, I view myself as indifferent when I'm listening to someone else but when I speak, for some reason I am always wrong. I try and I try to no avail, experimenting with my words every time I talk to someone or type something. I am forced to conclude that my words are cursed, everything I speak gets criticized or just blows away in the wind. Like Eminem says, "Have you ever been hated or discriminated against? I have, I've been protested and demonstrated against." endless cycle. Some of my family lives up in Park City and guess what, almost everybody hates me, it's mostly girls. I just, I think that women should show more respect to men but hell I don't know, maybe I'm wrong I always am, maybe men are supposed to suck up to women but I would not know, I thought I knew but after this conversation I had with my mom she broke down all my beliefs my mind fell apart, I almost started sobbing because everything I thought was collapsed and turns out it was ALL wrong. I need something but I don't know what it is, I cannot trust myself. It is so frustrating, it seems absolutely legit to me and I can't possibly think of an alternative way. When I write down all the syndromes and symptoms on a list it is so overwhelming. I am sorry this is so intense or whatever it might be. What is wrong with me.

I totally get how you feel! I do the same thing I speak my mind and it gets me into trouble all the time! I offend people and stuff because I speak my mind! This past Christmas I offended a whole bunch of family. Some time I wish I wouldnt speak my mind because of all the trouble I get myself into. And I barly have any friends at all because when some one talks to me I never know what to say to them. I dont get it. I'm 14 why cant I figure out how to talk to pepole??

Describes the situation, haha. Good song too, popped into my head when I saw this thread.

Yeah. I was at my brothers funeral a few days ago... I was sad so my social awkwardness was acting up, since I didnt care what anyone thought. I just wanted to grieve in peace.
However, a woman said she was sorry for my loss, and I said "thank you have a nice day "
My neice cracked up, but I was so embarassed once I realized my phrase wasnt suitable in that situation.
I then had to confide about my autism to avoid looking like a weirdo.

That's hard to do. We can simply stop and think for a while about what we want to say during a conversation, right?
Another problem (in my case) is that even when I stop and try to judge my words, I still don't seem to balance things out and figure whether it's appropriate or not -_-

Story of my life. The worst time that I can recall right off the top of my head happened about 14 years ago. I had ran into one of my oldest son's friends parents. My son was 9 and the friend was a couple years older than him. I asked how the friend (Jerrin) was. The Mother said "We lost Jerrin". Now, I know what that means but I wasn't expecting it and took it literally. I said "Oh no! Where? Did you find him?" Then I got it and apologized.

I say rude things all the time, and often don't understand why it was offensive.

Yes, all the time. Its not that I'm trying to be rude, I'm really trying to help. This is why I usually keep to myself.

Rarely; usually people don't like how I am completely honest and say "yes" and "no" rather than adding words between to fulfill a social contract.
