Maybe you could try contacts. Smile

Yes, contacts can be a good alternative if you're willing to make an effort to get used to them. Besides other reasons such as being hyperactive, glasses drive me mad sensory-wise which is why contacts won out as soon as I was old enough to get them.

I disagree. I hate putting the little filaments in my eyes, because if I tic, I need to reposition them. Glasses FTW.

When I'm out I usually wear my contacts, which do help me somewhat with confidents but at home I wear my glasses, as contacts often make my eyes feel like theres small bits of dirt or sand in them.

I'm pretty sure glasses are cool now. To the point where people will wear non prescription lenses just for fashion. Just don't rock the 1980's frames or you'll look like a serial killer......

I always wear glasses in public. I was originally thinking I'd use contact on normal days, then glasses on those days I'm just going to stay at home. But I ended up not buying any more contacts after I got my glasses. I hated having to take them on and of every day, glasses is are so much more practical.

I am personally afraid of contacts because of the whole idea of sticking something in my eye directly, losing and misplacing them, and I think they are more expensive than glasses in the long run too. I also feel like that if I wore contacts, people might approach me for the wrong reasons.

Also, teenagers are less likely to make a big stink about glasses to an adult because an adult can more easily venture off somewhere else, whereas a peer is stuck in a school for hours on end or in an enclosed environment they cannot easily escape. Because of BS like this and tragedies like Columbine and Newtown, it just makes me that much more for cyber schools!
