I do this a lot, especially when asked a question by someone! Wink

Yes. I'm a very good speller because of this.

I also do the same thing, as well.

I wondered if I had any types of synaesthesia but not been sure. If this is called ticker tape synaesthesia, then I most certainly have it.

Pssh! I only wish! I'm a decent speller but things would be a lot easier if I could see the words in my mind. I think spell check weakens one's abilities.

I have chromesthesia, I get fractals and flashes of light and colour, I don't get the letters and numbers I think I would in fact go mad if I did. The fractals and flashes aren't usually a bother unless I'm trying to sleep.

It's not an on all the time kind of thing for me, only when I'm really relaxed or stressed, or if I'm stimming in front of the computer with the tunes cranked. I kinda like it sometimes, like going to a fireworks show for free, to the beat of the music. with no crowds.

I have the same thing. I didn't know it was actually called anything. It's really rare, but when a loud noise startles me and I'm just about to fall asleep, I will see a pattern for a split second. It's always black and white. Sometimes it looks like a blotch drawing, sometimes it's a pattern of the same thing repeating. Like I once saw a black and white Rorschach woman holding an umbrella and walking with a stroller. It looked like an ink drawing and repeated about four times vertically. It doesn't happen when I'm not stressed, though.
