"You should really try to set a better example"

"Don't let it get to you"

"You can't just ____ when things don't go your way"

"Know what your problem is? You think the whole world revolves around you"

"It's their right, they're entiitled to do that"

"If it were one of your interests you'd be all over it, but since I'm the one who needs help, forget it"

"EVERYone has trouble meeting people"

"You're going out wearing THAT?"

"How long do you plan on leaving that mess?"

"What difference does it make?"

"Maybe if you didn't ____so much you wouldn't be this way"

"You were spoiled rotten when you were that age"

Withdrawn straight from the memory bank

"Calm down." Rolling Eyes
"Wrong." (Sounds condescending. You can say your own opinion or fact without calling me wrong, what's the point in that word?)
When people ask me for my opinion and then not like it and get mad at me for it.
"Nevermind." (not even bother to explain it to me)
"Slow down" when I am eating
"Don't yell" when I am not yelling and not even raising my voice

I hate that as well. It's usually the SO that brings it up. Rolling Eyes

Same lol. I could almost get that one while gently whispering, I think.

It's about the only one that really bugs me in this thread so far. Except maybe one of the others LG posted, "Calm down" when you're not actually excited and you have an even tone of voice.

I think maybe it's the monotone - if you speak in monotone, people can't tell when you're excited and go by what you're saying rather than how you say it.

I hate the "Don't yell one." I worked with a co-worker who was like that. She would get in her moods and then you would get firm with her and it was "Don't yell at me, or I will yell at you." She did that to others too.

How about when people tell you to shhh and have a big catty smile on their face? They then throw in a "I can hear you all the way over here." I've told a few people like that to shut up before.

When someone makes a nasty comments that borders along the lines of being mean. Then the other person gets mad and goes, "I'm just kidding." Those are annoying.

How about when you say excuse me somewhere and then the other person gets and attitude and and mocks you back? They go "Scuse me," like they are more important. I mocked someone like that once at the grocery store for doing that to me and then I turned on my heel and walked away.

They have no idea how stress effects me.

"Life's a b***h, then you die."
Any variation of this one always makes me mad, its such a shitty cop out people use when you complain about anything and no life doesn't have to be a "b***h", its beautiful. Shut up you f***ing idiot.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?"
Again, any variation and the context matters. If a person just asks "hey, what are you doing?" that's fine. I mean when I'm actually doing something and its obvious but a person asks this question as some kind of rhetorical question because I'm doing so appallingly bad or shocking. If you see me doing something wrong, simply say "Hey..stop driving so fast!" "Add some water to that paint brush, your colors are too dark!" "Add some water and turn down the heat on the stove!" etc etc.
"Stop being so manipulative."
Hear this the most when I have a meltdown, it makes me so angry.
"Hey you, yeah you."
Rude as hell and makes me feel threatened. Sounds too much like something a cop or authority figure would say.
"Are you slow?"

Whenever you are about to cry and someone who is being insensitive says,

"What's the matter with you do you have bugs in your eyes?"

Others.

"Do you have a staring problem?"

"That's not normal, your behavior is a sign of a mental illness."

''People who laugh at you aren't worth knowing.''

''If your friend gets the hump with you, he/she wasn't a very good friend in the first place.''

''Stop moaning.''

''Ssshhhh!''

The last two can sometimes send me into a meltdown.
