Agreed. This page sometimes freezes my elderly computer because the images are too big. The image of the day thread does a lot more, though. XD _________________ I'm a crab in a lobster world. |

There are half a dozen or so "post a picture!" threads on WP. Length as measured by page numbers is the most visible of the key markers of thread success. The manipulation of pixel size permits vast increases in post-efficiency in this area.
To triumph in the Darwinian struggle for pictorial relevance one cannot be restrained by ethical or moral constraints. Nor can one be stopped by such petty concerns as "obnoxiousness," "readability," and "convenience," a thread is an organic entity with its own interests and needs, it does not live for the benefit of its components and contributors, but sacrifices them in furtherance of its interests as determined by its unfathomably inhuman consciousness.
Hmm...I may or may not have wandered slightly off topic somewhere in that last paragraph... _________________ AQ 40. EQ 10/SQ 92. AS 184/NT 18. dx. |

It a hypothesis proposing to explain why WP has so many "post a picture!" threads and why the pictures posted are often very large using organicism and Darwinism.
It's very straightforward...ish _________________ AQ 40. EQ 10/SQ 92. AS 184/NT 18. dx. |

I would never have guessed judging by your pics. |

You don't look tall in your pictures.
And now I feel so small, only 5 foot 1. I think I'll go off through that 5 foot 1 door over there and hide, where only those who are 5 foot 1 or smaller can go. _________________ I don't know what I want, but I know what I don't want. |

A few hours ago...I'm the one flipping the guitar in the center.
Another one.
