I do that when I sit, sort of. When I'm sitting down, my toe nails are on the floor and my feet are vertical.
when I'm walking barefoot I place my feet first and then the heel.
I think I remember hearing that before the shoe was invented that's (the feet first heel second thing) how people walked. |

I curl my toes when I am sitting. I never gave it much thought. I just figured it was a me thing. _________________ Titanic is a good diaper movie, lots of flooding |

I've started doing this lately, especially when I'm stressed: during an eye exam a few weeks ago (air puff thingie...wth!!), when I have to speak to someone I'd rather not, & when I'm angry. _________________ BAPQ: Autistic/ BAP 123 aloof, 86 rigid, 87 pragmatic

| I curl my toes, like when I'm sitting down I will often have my toes curled under my feet. I also frequently crack my toe knuckles (by curling them under my feet, haha). |

I was doing this today and it was the first time I was conscious of it, I had Crocs on and I noticed it made my already short feet look even shorter. Usually I read something here and will start doing the same thing later but I was already doing this before I opened the thread _________________ "You're probably wondering why I'm here, and so am I, so am I" (not that it makes a heck of a lot of a difference anyway) |

One of my sons does that. I would have got him clogs or flip flops because his feet are perfect for those, but the school requires sneakers. He hardly pull them up properly and always stomp on the back and trash them pretty quickly. He's a toe walker.
I'm the opposite, I hate toe curling and never wear flip flops no matter how popular they are. _________________ Aspie mom to two autistic sons (11 & 9 ) |

I prefer walking barefoot because it gives me another layer of pleasant senses - things I have complete control over, stimulation through contact with the earth.
As a child I walked on my toes and the balls of my feet so much it became problematic, causing loss of flexibility and muscle tone.
I managed to train myself out of it though. |
