Hey,

I have been thinking about myself lately, and it seems like I think more about ideas and things more than actually people. Anyone else like this? I feel kinda bad, but what are you going to do?

I find I relate more readily to ideas & things, it comes much more easily to me. At the same time, it's not that I don't care about individual people. I can be very kind & compassionate. It does take a bit of an effort to pay attention to people, tho'. It's not where my mind naturally wants to go. Confused

I care more about fictional characters than real people, if fictional characters can count as "ideas" in this thread. Fictional characters have predictable personalities and only change as much as their stories allow them to. They're easy to read into because their thoughts and feelings are all spelled out on the screen/paper. By contrast, real-life people don't make any sense and can change drastically throughout the course of their lives, in addition to being able to conceal and lie to you about their true thoughts and feelings.

I also care a lot about objects - specifically, the toys I collect. I've always believed that toys have feelings, ever since seeing Toy Story as a child.

I do care about some people but for the most part I care more about my teddies and dolls and fictional characters.

Most of all i care about my cats, other animals, plants, nature as a whole, and a lot about ideas, concepts, science, and knowledge, but not about people on the physical level. Fictional characters at least to a degree, same applies for some online acquaintances, but that's also more about their ideas and communication, i don't care much about the person behind the thoughts and words. And i care about objects like computer, my kindle, books, tools etc.
