| Hey all! My name is Laura Hinkson and I am a graduate student at Arcadia University. I'm currently taking a disability law class and for my independent assignment, I want to put together a collection of autobiographical work by people with autism. I need your help! If you're interested, I'm looking for people to communicate about living with autism in whatever way you feel most comfortable. This could be writing (prose, poetry, etc), video, audio, or art. After all, I have come to realize that there is no better way to learn about how to best support those with autism than to listen to them directly. Once I start collecting work, I plan to put it up on a website and share it through social networks. Again, this is for a class and I absolutely will not profit from anyone's work. I hope you're planning on writing some sort of reflection, rather than just asking people their life story and mashing it together. Because that's kind of like cheating.  |
