I LOVED this show lots growing up!
Favourite Robot was Chaos II instantaneously.
Sure it didn't last and the series was going well even if it didn't do well and moved to Channel 5. The problem with that is the adverts.
Personally I'd love to see it come back but most likely it won't.

I would often jump up and down in my living room yelling "PIT! PIT! PIT!"
Loved Robot Wars when it was on BBC
I even drew up plans for a waling robot.

Haha... I liked the Drop Zone more than the pit, lol.
Also could easily make Stinger out of Lego.  Besides it falling to pieces a few times.
I did like to see robots go Out Of The Arena which was mostly by flippers plus I like to see robots simply going for the House Robots... like Chaos II and Firestorm.

I would be the odd one out here in the sense that I started with the USA series.
Now I can't stand the announcer for it though. My current favorite is either Razer or Sumpthing (I know it didn't really have success but it was great fun!)
My favorite moment is probably the fun surrounding the Widow's Revenge vs. Razer fight... and then to see how trashed Widow's Revenge got haha, fun teams about it.
WHen I was young I would make designs for robots. They would usually have big spinning discs like Unibite or Hypno-Disc.
The ther show I watched growing up was Battlebots.
PastFixations, you're wrong about the advertisements killing Robot Wars...it was how oversaturated the market had become. It became a big cultural fad that now is being continued by underground communities, which I like.

Yeah! Funny how Razer ended up in the pit instead of Widow's Revenge.
Also the fight between Razer and Onslaught was just hilarious. Was a cat and mouse chase. XD
Mind that fight you mentioned is probably second to Hypno-Disc vs. Splinter in terms of being trashed.

Ha, Splinter was definitely brave. Was hilarious seeing Splinter be completely destroyed. I think seeing an opponent robot get trashed and Razer driving into the pit is even funnier though!

| I used to love this show, I used to have this little guidebook on all the robots. I can't remember it's name, but I remember driving a robot at science fair, it was red and it seemed to win most matches if I remember! |

I loved the featherweight battles, shame there weren't more of them.
