(First new topic I've posted: take a deep breath: okay)

I found out on Wednesday that the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, CT, is hosting one of the stops for "Dear Friends", the Final Fantasy music concert tour. So I got tickets for it, at the tenth hour, since it's on Friday. But a chance to hear "A One-Winged Angel" (man I hope they play that) performed by an orchestra could not be passed up. This will be the first time I've gone to see a orchestra play music since some school field trip many years ago ('bout time they played something to appeal to my generation!).

Anyway, are there any other Final Fantasy fans out there?

I like the first FF, but FF3j, the one that was only released in Japan (I have a translated rom), is my favourite.
I like those two because you get to make your own characters- in all the other Final Fantasy's (excluding the ones for the original GameBoy, which weren't bad either) you are forced to play as a specific character, and to me that feels more like reading a book or watching a movie then playing a game.

When I'm playing a Roleplaying game, I like to actually envisage myself as the character I'm playing, so it feels much more immersive to me to create my own character- thats why I prefer western style RPGs like Baldur's Gate or Morrowind.

Just so everyone knows, I am aware that I mispelled "Final Fantasy" in the subject line. So embarassing.

Don't worry about it- I didn't even notice until you pointed it out. Wink
