Congratulations, MathGirl! I hope the best for you!
Well...I only have 55 more problems to go, and then I am done with precalculus and...then I will be teaching myself Calculus. The method is this: I will do every single homework problem in the book, and do whatever proofs I can do; if I get stuck, I will first look at the solutions guide to see if the answer's there; if not, I'll reluctantly google the answer. This will take at least a year and a half, and I am expecting at least two years...but it will be so worth it in the end.
I cannot afford to take classes at the moment, but since I have a B.A. in math, and if I work my way into the tutoring center, I have a good chance of them picking me to be an instructional assistant. Please, if you're nice, pray for me...if you're not nice, then thbbbbbbb (raspberry) lol I still hope the best for you all.
Ah, I miss math and calculus. I'm in psych now because I couldn't imagine a career in math that I'd be good at. I don't want to be a tutor to random kids because they would probably make fun of me the same way they did back in high school. Besides, I'm not very creative when it comes to numbers and spatial stuff. But good luck to you, I'm sure you're better at these things than I am.
