I do. Try walking in some closed, high shoes first - boots, for instance - where it's difficult to bend your ankle sideways. Eventually you can move onto open shoes. Wearing them too often is bad though, since it can seriously injure your arch.

I am not really into fashion, I prefer comfortable clothing and shoes but as a child, I always wanted to wear my mothers high heels because I liked the pattern of sounds when the heels clicked the ground.

I like wearing high heels that are really, really short. I feel feminine in them but I don't have balance issues when they're only an inch high. haha!

My feet are abnormally small and it is difficult to even find any kind of shoe with more than a 2-inch heel. What is more, when I do wear heels, they sound too loud when I walk. Instead of a light clicking sound, it is more like a clomp-clomp-clomp sound. It stands out too much and brings the wrong kind of attention for me.

I remember being really little, like around three and being obsessed with shoes (I hate feet, so anything that covers them is fantastic). I hated growing out of particular ones to the point my mum would buy shoes in a couple of sizes for me!

I love high heels, and could not wait to be old enough to wear proper ones to make that click click sound. Even now, when I am foing to work or somewhere that makes me nervous I focus in on that sound.

I'd love to be able to wear heels, but I've never been graceful and I really can't get the hang of them. MomofTom's point about going "clomp clomp" rather than "click click" perfectly describes me trying to lumber around in dainty shoes.

I've now got the same style of closed-in flat-soled dress shoe in three different colours for work. They look a bit silly with a skirt, but it's better than twising ankles, falling over, and those blasted heel-straps that never stay in place!

You know if you are think you are uncomfortable in them or not sure how to walk in them, don't be discouraged...it's actually really hard to find high heels that are well designed to support the foot and stay on properly....

Make sure you try them on in the shop, walk around....and then do it again on carpet when you get home....if they don't feel right, maybe it's not you, it can sometimes be the shoe - take them back.

High heels are FTW - I can't walk in them worth a damn.

But Bass Shoe Outlets have really nice dress shoes that are designed for us non-heel wearing types. I don't know why you want high heel shoes, but if you want to dress up without breaking your neck, I'd recommend Bass Shoe outlet.

I can't walk in heels. Watching people run in them is scary as well.

I love heals. I like the way they look better than the way they feel. I can only wear certain types. Usually wedge heals which are much more comfortable and are the only ones I walk in. I have comfortable heals believe it or not.

I love the knee high leather looking boots with three inch wedge heals and zippers up the side. Very sexy. I'm short so I like the height.

I almost never wear them though. I prefer my tennis shoes. Comfort over looks for me.

I'll be going back in the work force soon though and will need to buy some. Cool

It took me forever to figure out how to walk in them so don't feel bad.

Clogs can look classy and they are better for your back.

As a random sidenote, a boy in our high school wore a skirt and high heels again today. He walks in them very well.

I wear heels pretty frequently...and i tend to be less clumsy in them, simply because I have to pay attention to what my feet are doing...but i usually stick to wedges.

No! I'm 48 years old, with 2 artificial knees & all sorts of arthritis. I used to wear heels. I can't tell you how many times I fell off them (often due to my ankles, sometimes knees). I don't recommend it.

I also don't recommend not wearing a bra, if you're well-endowed. I tried that, when I was in my late teens/early twenties. I've never had kids, but boy, have my breasts fallen! If I had it to do over again, I'd be in a bra when it wasn't time to go to bed.
