I feeling quite pathetic today. I think I was feeling just as pathetic the last time I tried to change ny "Shout out" on the map. I'm shouting to myself, which I guess is par for ASD.
Start whinge...
...
- How does one change the "shout out".
- How does one set a more accurate location (I'm emailed to Frappr... I guess I've answered this one myself).
- Given that you know another member's map name, how do you get to their location, without wading through everyone, all 406 of us, eight at a time, on the unreadable, tiny, black font on a dark red background, that I find illegible!
- Why does the map start up centred on northern America, rather than just the word view?
- In deference to those with dialup connections, it would be nice if the map started up paused, but maybe that's not controllable. Another email to the Frappr bunch, maybe.
... whinge over.
PS. hyper_alien, I'd suggest that you could edit the answers to some of this into your first message on this thread. That way, when I forget the answers, I'll know where to find them. _________________ new, adj. Different colour from previous model.

I've finally added myself to the 'new' Frappr map. It seems a LOT different from the last time I used it! _________________ Aspies: Because great minds think alone. |

Added. The dot on the map is literally within 20 metres of my house. _________________ Yesterday is time spent,

| I clicked on both "add me" and "join" and nothing happened. There are only two people in my area anyway. |

I'm hardcore "urban" having lived 99.99% of my life in urban centres and that alone would make me more NT, but I feel more at home with people with AS and the like.
It seems that the "frappred" ARE in fact dispersed. I only see significant densities in the UK and around Washington DC. I also love this stuff since my first university degree was in geography.

I guess access to the Internet is also an issue, and even with access, the knowledge of and means to find THIS specific site and THIS specific topic on the forum. Check out Africa. |

I have been scared of this thread since I got here. Most be I like to be scared because I refused to look up Frappr. But then, I'm scared of dictionarys too. Double whammy. _________________ Advisory: The hero shoots a lot of people and doesn’t think much about it.

why would access to the Internet be an issue in Europe? Internet is everywhere and why would the knowledge of AS be smaller here? the AS is AS everywhere. the doctors know it here too. 'check out Africa', LOL you're comparing Europe to Africa? |

I think what I tried to say there, was that access might also be one of the reasons why so few, if not none, were mapped as being from Africa/Asia, but that access wasn't necessarily a reason as to the paucity (fewness) of AS in Europe. Internet may be available even in Africa, especially urban centres, but a large majority would probably not have unlimited use as enjoyed by developed nations to surf leisurely on forums.
In any case, the language barrier is a better reason, undoubtedly.
Anyway, I wrote that when I was still waking up as I usually go online in the morning to wake myself up. |

yes, the language barrier would be the main reason, then there might be more reasons to discuss
anyway, it didn't offend me or anything, it was fun |

| It says I live in Wappingers Falls. I live in Poughkeepsie. Sure, Wappingers Falls is partially part of Poughkeepsie, but I don't live there! |
