Now I'm watching "Children of Men" for the first time.

I haven't read the book, but the movie seemed like it was missing parts, so I'm assuming that would be the parts of the book that help you better understand characters and situations.
Kinda glad I haven't read the book though, 'cause I've yet to see a movie that I thought did the book any justice and I'm usually disappointed.
Aside from Lord of the Rings perhaps.
