We need a War, that will wipe out all the elderly and poor, and over 1/3rd of the populations of men,

Oh wait, that would do no good, all that would happen is the Hispanics will have more room to move in from across the borders.

As far as I can tell, that seems to be the goal of those demanding an end to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Well..haha..truth be told..folks that clean toilets and everyone else in the sanitation industry..are the ones most responsible for ending human suffering in the last few centuries..

As the sanitation industry..is the main reason that folks live longer on average these days..than the 30 to 40 year old averages we saw just a couple hundred years ago..

Yup.. antibiotics help.. but not nearly as much as the sanitation industry...next time ya may think that ain't a noble profession....DON'T KNOW IF YA DO OR NOT....

And the hispanic folks ..truth be told..are the only segment of the population that still has enough 'sense' to EFFECTIVELY reproduce..and the MAIN reason the population in the US is not imploding..creating economic and emotional real human suffering LIKE other countries SUCH AS Japan that do no have the wealth of immigration like the US does...

LIKE THEY SAY..

THE MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH...

AND ALL THAT MEANS IS FOLKS THAT REMEMBER HOW TO F** AND GET THE JOB DONE..WILL INHERIT THE EARTH..OVER FOLKS THAT CARE ABOUT MATERIALISM MORE THAN HUMANISM....OR SOLVING MATH PROBLEMS..if i may use that analytical over empathic metaphor...

The problem today..IS..folks are forgetting how to be human....'JUST THE BASICS MAM..JUST THE BASICS..OF THE BIRDS AND BEES OF LIFE'...( loose dragnet analogy )

But hell NO!..not hot blooded hispanic folks..STILL CARRYING A SUBCULTURE..OF BEING FULLY ALIVE....
and GETTING THE MOST IMPORTANT JOB OF LIFE..DONE!

F8888ING....WITH REAL FULL HUMANLY EFFECTIVE RESULTS....

little ones..if ya will.....the ONES WHO WILL INHERIT THE EARTH...!

WELL..I DID IT FOR 6 YEARS WORKING MY WAY THROUGH COLLEGE GETTING 3 DEGREES...ALONG WITH
two other jobs..research associate in archaeology..and book store stocker....

And now i am financially independent..at 53 and have been that way since age 47....

i can do anything i want in life...

And NOW..have the means to do it..physically ..intellectually...and emotionally now in social reciprocal communication..now that i found a way to cure my autism..YES literally cure my autism..per the reciprocal social communication difficulties...

Here is the thing about life...

Challenge one self and do things that are uncomfortable ..adapt and .. grow..physically ..emotionally..intellectually..spiritually..thrive and survive...

Do nothing..

stagnate

and

well

Do nothing..

stagnate..
and well

get the picture yet....

But why do i spend any time on this site...

cause i DO REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS LIKE..
TO BE IN HUMAN HELL..2....

AND WILL DO ANYTHING..TO VEER FOLKS AWAY FROM...

IT...AND THIS HAPPENS TO BE ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING ARENAS
FOR THAT..NOW...

AND I DO MEAN ANYTHING...AND EVERYTHING...

THE ONLY BOSS I HAVE IS GOD..

HESHE... CAN BE PRETTY DEMANDING...;)

BUT I COMPLY..CAUSE I UNDERSTAND

THE FULLEST REALITY OF LIFE...

NOW..AND UNDERSTAND..
WHO I SERVE....
ALLITIS..THAT
IS.

then you are one of the reasons why people hate people collecting disability and think we're all lazy.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with working with your hands, working in any "menial" sense, for a paycheque. effort is effort. you need to get over yourself.

I don't think anyone should have to clean toilets. Rather, I think we need to get cracking on inventing androids that can do that for us.

In a more metaphorical sense though, I can see what you're getting at. I had a similar attitude for a long time, when I was wasting away in my dad's basement. With all the threats of being kicked out, and my stepmother's tightening grip on the household environment, that's when I started craving freedom, and I knew that I would have to put up with doing a bit of menial labor to get that freedom. I even put in a bunch of applications at fast food places, establishments where I considered the work to be "below" me, but I lucked out and found a job as a grocery cashier. If you're in a comfortable enough situation that you can get away with living on disability, good for you. I almost went on disability, but I didn't because I wanted to strive for more, and have a better living situation. As well, I knew that as an able-bodied individual, the tax dollars that would have gone towards me would be better spent on someone who was genuinely incapable of performing any sort of labor. I could have lived off the dole, but I would have felt terrible about myself doing so.

I was originally going to "fix myself" before entering the workforce, by using the free time that could have been afforded to me by going on disability to pursue therapy to improve my mental health, but with the lack of support in the area which I lived at the time, and the pressure put on me to move out and "become independent", I had to become "functionally mentally ill". I had reveled in my depression, anxiety, and OCD before to the point where I was a non-functioning individual, but I had to learn to "tame" some of that going into the workforce. Moving into a better, much more supportive living situation worked wonders for bringing down my level of anxiety to the point where I could more easily manage it, and not have to deal so much with the comorbid depression and OCD.

Sorry, I went on a bit of a tangent there. The point is, I can relate to your feelings, as I felt them once before as well.

On a related note, I remember many years back in school, around the time of one of our federal elections, I had read something about the Green Party's platform, and how they stood for a "guaranteed minimum livable income", or something along those lines. I think it's a pretty neat concept myself, very socialist in nature, but given all the profit-driven workaholics we have living here, I'm sure it would balance out well. We would have more people working because they actually WANT to work, not because they have to, and the people who don't want to work, wouldn't have to, unless they decide one day that they want to go out and purchase a gold-plated Ferrari or something.

Lady, its not just that, I get no respect, and often get dumped on and treated like crap because of being so called below the snobs. under those circumstances, its not worth it. Not only that, but now and then those same people I work for tasks me to do things others wouldn't even touch, like toxic cleanup or crawling under a muddy house where the foundation has become unstable and unsafe so as to fix the problem where otherwise the places should be condemned. I have worked for the same people for nearly 10 years now and never got a raise one, and they don't keep me busy enough to even pay my rent and bills. and there is no other work around and I cant move because of custody issues and lack of money. and they know they can push me into things because I have a child and have no real other employment options.

Lazy?! Lady my bosses often task me to do work where they get a percentage of what I make an hour, then they get upset with me for getting the job done to fast, when I only work one speed, they tell me this should take a couple days then I get it done in less then half a day.. but when the money comes out of their own pockets they get real cheap on me and I cant seem to get it done fast enough for them. To me it feels like stealing from someone when I can get the job done for them in quality time.

Lazy?! In my youth I crossed the whole of the USA coast to coast and back again, several times, sometimes by thumb, other times motorcycle or bus or by jet plane even. and never once did I hold up a sign begging for anything short of a ride, not money not food,. nor did I ever cheat nor steal anything, I worked my way across the country. I found its easy to find work if your constantly on the move or can goto that job where ever it is. its when I sit still it becomes problematic. but I have a kid now so I don't have that option.

I have no real education, and I have such high social anxieties I can't work around other people nor focus on anything with others around. so I am wanting on disability so I can use that time to refocus my life, educate my self, etc. without having to worry of my whole world crashing for lack of support when I am living on the edge already, nor be forced into dealing with lots of people, and so I can set my own educational pace without worry of failing... and quite frankly, I do not care what other people think, Ill do what I have to do to survive. and right now I have few other options. I been living on the verge of being homeless with my kid every since the economy crashed. and my kids mother has been homeless for a long while after the crash and is about to be homeless again. and she can't leave the area because of her other kids she has and custody issues with as well. So I cant afford to crash. so yes I clean those toilets, but its by far not worth it when I can do better if I can just place my self in that position of support while reeducating my self, besides I need the medical I am getting old.

Piece of advice, never move into the middle of nowhere. when I first moved here construction work was easy to find, now its all gone, along with the mining and logging businesses. its dead here. I came out of an erra where I could easily survive without that education, being autistic that made things much easier on me people would hire me Johny on the spot if it looked like I had those skills they needed, and I got to be picky about those jobs, and I got paid good too. now it cant be done, everyone wants you to have that education. And I didn't quit school for being lazy, I got terrorized by bullies to the point I couldnt focus on anything, from first grade to last, and in the end if I didn't walk away I was going to bring a gun to school and shoot the basterds, and they were not worth that.

And fine, you want to call me lazy? consider this, you disabled lady, Steven Hawking is fully paralyzed, but he still makes a living. disability is a state of mind. therefore most all people on disability could be considered lazy.

http://work.chron.com/jobs-quadriplegic-can-19341.html

Quote:
....A quadriplegic’s occupational options, like those of every individual, will depend on innate skills, intelligence, preferences and education. Although some occupations that are very physical in nature, such as fire fighting, construction and law enforcement, may not be an option, a quadriplegic who is already trained in a field may be able to return to it once she has healed from the initial injury. A nurse, for example, might be able to perform telephone triage or work for an insurance company doing medical case management despite her disability, as long as she has the proper adaptive assistance.

People with quadriplegia work in a variety of occupations. English physicist Stephen Hawking is paralyzed because of ALS. Actor Christopher Reeve, injured when he fell from a horse, became a motivational speaker and was able to return to acting. Tim Kimball, paralyzed after an assault, earned a bachelor’s degree in art history after his injury and went on to earn a master’s in architecture to become an architect. Tony Quan, a graffiti artist who has ALS, uses eye-tracking technology to create his art. Scottish artist Edward Rainey, paralyzed from the neck down, uses mouth-held tools to paint and sculpt; he is the only Scottish representative of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists’ Association, according to "The List," a British newspaper....

Some quadriplegics might be able to perform a job that involved using mouth-held tools or eye-tracking technology. But, you would have to look at how many such jobs were available in the economy. Some may be able to focus on their work more than others who might otherwise be tempted to get up and walk around. But, some employers might prefer not to have to cover the cost of accommodations.

And sadly, that's a Catch-22 for today's NTs.

Education is so abundant that it is no assurance of finding a job that will pay any better than what a high school graduate could get...at least enough to justify the insane debt you may be forced to go into to get that piece of paper.

Less than 25% of all graduates will find a "good" job after graduation. 50% might not even find a full-time job.

There is more to education than just "finding a job." It isn't necessarily all about materialism. Some educated people may reject the materialistic lifestyle.

Actually, a lot of it is because everything is automated and mass produced, and about the only real jobs left are technical which are quickly replaced with automations. and its only going to get worse. we need a change of system otherwise its only going to be the upper and rich classes thats making all the money and the poor will flood the world. and the rich will always complain they are not making enough, while the world starves. people are always complaining about industry going over seas, or that of immigrants taking the jobs. when thats not it, its all the automations.

I have seen a plan of others that comes vary close to my own conclusions, I have in fact posted links to them in this forum, but with all the complaining hardly anyone actually seems to be reading them to see what other ideas and options there are. no one ever comments on them.

Look up "The Venus Project", and no its not about anything astronomy. don't take a quick glance, do some research into it.
Most of the reason people reject it with little research is because for the most part it does away with the money system and it seems most people can not see nor imagine a democratic world without money.
