A billy badman on two wheels is actually a very vulnerable person. I have been riding for the better part of about 70,000 + miles, and I know better than to think someone in a car is harmless. You could mow all of them over, and turn them into hood ornaments really easy, and say oops, I made a simple driving error. Nothing your insurance cannot cover right?

Wrong.
Cyclist are always right in the eyes of the law in Belgium and Netherlands. Even if they are in the wrong.
And to be honest it is not my style to sink to their level. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Cyclists do have the disadvantage of being far less protected than people in cars. They may win in court but they'll have to suffer the injury first.

So bottom line to what you're saying is that it would be ok to bully them back?

Actually, the opposite. You have to be more careful because of their vulnerability, even if they disregard it.

I'm not saying you should do it. Drivers in america hit cyclists all the time. They get wrist slapped, even when it is the car drivers fault. Didn't know other countries were different. I had to dump a bike, because someone pulled out in front of me, when I had the right away. She said "ooh I'm sorry, I was just taking my kid to dance class".????? The cops did nothing, and I got 970$ to fix my bike. I'm really suprised these people in other countries are not more offensive when it comes to riding. When you ride defensively on a motorcycle for a long period of time, death may be in your future. The nurses I know in ER call motorcyclists doners.

My friend used to cycle a lot and one time he was going downhill on a one way street past a line of parked cars. Well didn't one of the doors fly open as someone was getting out. He hit it square on and lost a tooth to the driver's door window. He was lucky he wasn't going faster.
