What kind of music do you listen to
Older pop, classic rock, the original metal artists from back in the late 70s/early 80s, and basically the music my parents listened to when they were about my age. I guess I got lucky then, as Dad gave me his old Blondie, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Prince albums.
My favourite artist has to be Michael Jackson, which I probably inherited from Mum. Alongside the old Guns 'N' Roses, Judas Priests, The Beatles and Janet Jackson, I got all her signed merchandise, including a signed copy of Blood On The Dance Floor: HIStory In The Mix. Definitely pleased about that.
The kids at school think my love of older music is weird though. I've had comments about how "That song's old." or it's "creepy". Sorry, but until they put an expiry date on music, I'm gonna keep listening. Though I would so love it if one of their artists (Most likely Bieber as he's enough of a d*******g to do that) put expiry dates on their songs, so the tables could turn for once.
All forms of metal except rap/hip-hop metal: Slipknot, Iron Maiden, some Rammstein etc, etc.
Classic rock like Queen, Led Zep etc.
All other rock
but my favourite has gotta be punk rock in all it's forms; Rise Against, emo-punk like Three Day's Grace, and my favourite band Green Day.
Favourite song: Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day / Ready to Fall by Rise Against
I also like a few movie and anime soundtracks like TLoTR and the themes to Death Note and Attack on Titan

I like to listen to music from the 1970s-1990s. And there are a few people from this millennium I don't mind listening to.
The artists from years ago I like are:
The Carpenters,
The Beach Boys,
Dionne Warwick,
Michael Jackson,
George Benson,
The Doobie Brothers,
Michael McDonald,
Odyssey,
Earth, Wind & Fire,
Elton John,
The Four Seasons,
Brownstone,
En Vogue,
Brandy,
Queen Latifah,
TLC,
The Spinners,
Diana Ross
and Marvin Gaye.
I also like Amy Winehouse, Jill Scott, Michael Bublé and Bruno Mars.
I get asked a lot by people what kind of music I listen to, and when I tell them, they don't really believe me. Maybe it is because of the variety of music I listen to from decades ago, or maybe its because of my age and some other people my age mostly listen to the mainstream songs in the charts that have pointless lyrics or inappropriate lyrics...?
