Hi, I was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome today.

I'm a 17 (almost 18 ) y/o genderqueer human. (they/them pronouns :) )
I live in the south, but I'm moving to Philadelphia this summer.

I have severe social anxiety and depression, making It really difficult for me to go out and make new friends, so my therapist suggested that I should give Wrong Planet a try so I can meet more people like myself.

So, hello everyone! :D

I think you will enjoy it here, people seem to understand more.

I have lived a lifetime with severe social anxiety and depression, so I can probably relate to most of what you have to say. Shoot me a PM if you want to talk.

By the way... Your therapist suggested visiting Wrong Planet? This almost sounds like a therapist who actually cares about and knows what he's doing! I'm impressed.

Yeah, she sort of helps run a support group in my area too. She's going to talk to them tonight to see if they wouldn't mind if I started coming to meetings. I really like her.

Welcome! :)
Well, I have a history of these anxieties and depressions so I sure know how it is to be lonely, I guess. Send a message at your discretion!
