If one has gone out with a guy twice, and chats with him online regularly , and the guy says he plans to go speed dating, while suggesting that one could try speed dating, could that be a form of friendzoning?

Sounds as if this guy is interested in checking out his options and isn't really that interested in you, or doesnt want a commitment.

It's a let down gently technique. If you're interested in someone you don't bring up dating. I do it all the time with guys I don't want to date.

It's a dead give away when someone tells you to date other people that they aren't interested.

he had given me reason to believe that he wanted to give things a chance by ''starting over ' after a few bumps, misunderstandings and other issues. ( we are both aspies)

Congratulations!

When I first saw the thread title, my first thought was, "If you have to ask, the answer is YES."

And then I realized you're a woman talking about a man. Just from what I've seen, you are inherently unable to be "friendzoned." This is a phenomenon that can only happen to guys.

Thanks again to all who replied. It was an odd thing to say, in my view, regarding double dating.
