I have my own gaming blog now, because I can...I guess.
Hey guys, I just thought I would let you know that I started a videogame blog, which you can find here: http://landofgaming.net Feel free to check it out, maybe give some constructive criticism on how I can make it better, since this is my first blog ever. Heck, at this point, I have yet to receive my first comment, so even something trollish, like how awful this fool's blog is, would be welcome. I'm not very tech savvy, so it may take me some time to work out things, like how to make my blog look better. This blog is just a bit of a side project, and kind of an adventure, but it's an adventure I want to share with my fellow aspies and auties, so I'm sharing the news with you guys(and girls).
I can't get to it here at work, but I'll check it out as soon as I can.
I think more people should start blogs, and I think it's great that you've started your own.
I looked at it last night at home on my computer, but I don't have internet other than T-mobile hot spot through my phone. I reached the limit of what I have and won't get more until the cycle ends in 3 days.
I'll add your blog to the list of ones I regularly checkout. There are a few blogs from those on the Autism spectrum that I check out every so often.
Do you have a set goal for the blog? Is it going to be primarily your reviews and recommendations on games?
I don't really have a particular goal yet, but the focus is whatever's on my mind, and I intend for it to be more discussion based than review based. That's not to say I won't cover big news topics at any point. E3's coming up, and I'll have something to say about that. At this point, I don't intend to write reviews in the traditional sense, but that could change. For the time being, there won't be any scores, and I won't be focusing on games that don't interest me, or I don't like.
If I post about a specific game, I'll talk about its good points, and it's more about bringing that game into the spotlight than anything else. I guess I wouldn't post about a game I wouldn't recommend to those who enjoy that kind of game. A lot of what I play only appeals to a set audience, but if you like the sound of anything I talk about, then you should check it out. If I talk about a larger topic, like my survival horror piece yesterday, it'll be a straight up opinion piece. Today's post will be different again, and may kick off a series of inter-related posts, but you'll see it for yourself later.
Oh, by the way, I'm trying to stay clear of posting content that isn't appropriate for all audiences, not that I'm expecting children to be interested in my blog. In fact, I think a kid who reads blogs would be one boring kid. However, I am going to try to avoid swearing, or making inappropriate jokes, or posting inappropriate pictures on my blog. I will talk about M rated games at times, and I don't think children should be playing those games, but I will try to present those posts in an E-rated manner.
