My perception is that a geek has narrowed interests, yet is great at those interests. A nerd has more varied interests. His abilities in these interests varies. Both are perceived as socially inept.

I don't see geek and nerd as different. Both were used as derogatory insults at one time and are now used interchangably.

Personally, I like choice number four, Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds, as she bears a striking resemblance to my wife.
