As an adolescent, I was pretty sure I was a transexual because I couldn't identify with the girly girls. Hyper feminine women still make me nervous. Anyway, now I know that I'm actually right in the middle. I never wanted the dangly bits. But shopping for bras, etc still makes me uncomfortable. Anyone else feel this way?

In adolescent I was basically asexual (not girly but also not tomboy, and not interested in anybody sexually) and there was no real difference for me who I am and who my friends are (although I never understood the girly girls) so it seem to be right. But I was really boy-like later, for a few first years of my adulthood. I cut my hair very short and was wearing mostly male clothes. I was even in love with a girl and wanted to get her interested in me as a boy even though I never wanted to become a boy physically. Now it changed, I accept me being a woman, I got long hair and wear normal clothes although there is still not a single everyday dress in my closet (the only dress I have is a ball dress I wear on weddings) and all my clothes can be described as "sporty". And when it come to relationship I still want to be the one who "wears pants" therefore I look for a girl or a submissive boy I can protect and be strong for. It's quite awkward with the boys since "being protective and strong" is traditionally a boy job. :D

Definitely, I get what you're saying. Though I am not sure where this comes from.. I have lots of issues with gender (and not much interest in sex). It just feels so... artificial. I do get attracted to both genders but my mind gets the better of me.

I am kind of a mix of androgynous, neutrosis, somewhat masculine-ish. I usually look some level of 'butch'.

I was very tomboy as a kid and most girls outcasted me and hated my guts. To them I was an insult to 'femaleness'.

And yeah since I am not a gender conforming person I usually feel self conscious when clothing shopping, and I go to both in the mens and womens sections to find what I think is most suitable for me.

When I was younger I was adamant that I was really a boy. This is probably because I was only interested in things considered masculine and I identified with my father more than my mother. But, really, I've always been a tomboy. In fact, only in recent years have I really taken an interest in "girly" pursuits, such as wearing dresses and make up. But even so, I never do it that often.

I am comfortable with my sex, even if, at times, I am a bit masculine.

I never fit in either role, I was the kind of kid that would sing along a princess movie in the morning than fight with the boys in the afternoon. (I was the best fighter anyway, until they started to develop physically)
the thing is, I am 100% female. But not the kind of female one would expect. The problem is not my gender but how society perceives it!! ! And I hate gender roles SO MUCH. 100% proud of females!! ! Go women :D let's show we are logical, capable, intelligent, brave and don't have to be like they want us to be. They want us to shut up and conform but we never will!
