I think most of the video games I played for the PC were sim/management games.
My current favorites ones I like to play are "SimCity 4" and "The Sims 3".
What other good recent sim/manager games are out to play?

I currently play Sims 2, Sims Medieval, and Sims Freeplay (iPad). In the distant past I also spent a lot of time playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 & 3, and Zoo Tycoon.
Unfortunately my pc is 7 years old, so even if I did have money for more recent games, I wouldn't be able to afford them. I have seriously considered reinstalling the old Tycoon games to take a bit of a break from sims.

Do Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon count?
They're pretty addictive.
I played Sim City for SNES and I liked it, but I haven't been into the newer versions. The last one I tried was for GBA.
I've tried The Sims and I couldn't stand those games at all. I had one of those Amusement Park games, as well as Anno 1701 and Life Signs: Hospital Affairs, but I found them boring.
I won't be trying any of those games again.

I am a big simmer.
Sims original, sims 2 and sims 3 all expansions. I actually stopped playing sims 3 because of the lag and slowness even though my computer was far over the recommended specs. Will not be getting sims 4 because I only like the fantasy and interesting expansions.
My fav was sims 2 for PSP, and sims castaway for PC and psp, also played the sims medieval and sims pet stories.
Other newer ones I have found enjoyable is Tropico 4 (Gold ed) and, Tropico 5 is out now but I have yet to try that. I fully suggest you give it a look.
Older games: Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom and Pharaoh Gold (PC CD). Not sure if Sid Meier's Pirates! is more of a strategy game but it is also awesome and worth a mention even though it is old.

I used to play Sim City 2000/3000/4 and some of it's spin offs, and I used to play the first Sims, but find it bores me now.
I played Sim Ant and Theme Park WAY back in the day.
If Harvest Moon does count, I like to play those sometimes, mainly the old ones before they're too complicated.
I tried Game Dev Tycoon once, but it was pretty bad, in my opinion.
Can't help but feel I'm forgetting one.
