(i do not talking about more severe autistics who cannot take care of themself, we can also help them much better than NTs could because we can understand them better and we respect neurodiversity)
How can one claim to respect neurodiversity when they have an us vs. them attitude about neurotypicals?
I want to know how he claims to know what MOST of us think and feel...
AND how he presumes to talk for me... one of the high functioning...

I say f+++++ the island...i don't want to be separate from everyone, I like people of all kind of neurodiversities, and don't want to be segregated.

Well, I think there should be an island. That way I can run for mayor, and eventually kick everyone off the island. Than I will sell it to some real estate conglomerate, and keep the profit. Like I said earlier. Eventually everyone will get kicked off the island . Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! !! !! !! !
The idea reminds me of that movie Wonderlust. I wouldn't be going there anytime soon either.

In that case, then, I hereby appoint you as Webmaster of Autasia. Or whatever its founding members wish for it to be called.
On the practical note, I still haven't started learning how to create and run a website. I don't know how I would start going about it.

I'll build whatever you want & run it, but you have to get someone else to design, name, and style it as well as organize funding for hosting & a domain. Agreed?
The first step, generally, is to design it (pages, heirarchies, layouts & functionalities) & put together content (content includes media, text, & links).
Then we decide on a basis (from scratch, framework, or CMS based).
Then a developer like me builds the functional site, a front end/ux guy styles it to make it look good & be user friendly, and then you get a domain & hosting & we go live.
Pretty simple, actually, done it plenty of times.
I really think the idea of a phyle, an artificial tribe with scattered members but claiming & defending sovereignty & rights for said members, would be the right way to go if we're really serious about doing something like this. That way we could have small enclaves in various places without the problems associated with having to acquire, govern, and defend a landmass of some sort, which as others have pointed out is impractical.
For those unfamiliar with the concept who are having trouble understanding it I reccommend reading Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age which describe a future society in which many people belong to scattered tribes & phyles which retain their identities & rights no matter where they travel, within certain limitations of course. It's a great read as well.

Hey, nice article!
I never knew the concept had become so advanced since I first read about it in The Diamond Age, but I always felt drawn to the idea. 
I'm actually not surprised that people have seized upon this idea initially introduced in fiction, I always thought it was one of the most genius of Stephenson's socio-political ideas. 
Everyone should still read the book, even though it's an excellent article.
I feel like the article abstracts the concept too much maybe, while the book really fleshes out what it means and could mean.
In any case, it's a great idea if we could get it up & running.
Ok, well, I'm not entirely familiar with wiki/forum web apps per se, but the good news is that there are existing frameworks/apps that already exist for both formats which should be easy enough to configure & style a bit. I'll look into it & get back to you with some ideas on the new thread.
