I have Asperger's/ASD and my fiancee has OCD. In a lot of ways I feel like this helps us understand each other because there are a few ways our differences line up, like being neurotically particular about certain things or being prone to becoming overwhelmed. But then there are some things that seem almost opposite about the way we experience the world. I was wondering if anyone has insight into both and can tell me how they are the same, and how they are different?

I lived with an SO with OCD for eight years. I didn't care for it.

However, your mileage may vary.

The owner of my last job had OCD. It was a good 6 months. I perfomed miracles. He gave me all the praise. Then I had something to say because he was being an ass for weeks. He piled all my stuff in the middle of the floor, and told me to go. Oops... it was relly chronic for him  . I really didn't know how to deal with it.
