The idea was raised, not for the first time, and certainly not for the last, of creating a phyle/guild/tribe/micronation for Autists/Aspies. This led on to a discussion of a proto-phyle, centered on a website that would serve as an incubator and discussion forum for such ideas, including Autist-ran real-world communities such as that being developed by Vicky Glietz, and online co-operative ventures to provide employment.

I was then nominated to organise it 8O I have no experience in setting up a website, or running a forum and wiki which I imagined would be the start of such a site, so if I do it, then you'll have to wait a while 8) If anyone else wants to, go right ahead.

So, discuss away, I guess, what our phyles egg ought to have. I think we definitely need to have a forum that is dedicated to such ideas, and I think a wiki would be a good thing to have to bring together information on any projects that are developed. Anything else? Any ideas for names?

Well ok, I've offered my web development & tech skills to help build the site, so you're not on your own for that at least.
It's just that your SN indicates that you're a leader of mutants, so it seems like since essentialy what we're proposing is a mutant (autist) tribe/phyle, you ought to be the one in charge of organizing it, at least until you can find someone better to take over for you.
I'll offer what advice & support I'm able, of course.

I'm interested in exploring how we could develop a cooperative type structure for the phyle as a whole, to knit various independent and communal projects and businesses together into a single transnational community/tribe.
This would include, I would imagine, a hashing out of basic principles including but not limited to social, economic, legal, and logistical details, procedures, and general goals and ideals as a community.
I don't know much about any of that, so I was wondering if anyone had any specific ideas or suggestions along those lines to maybe get us started?

Oh goody. I'll be Autisto and my mutant power will be the ability to endlessly pace while in my own little world oblivious to everything around me :D

I have PMed him - I did it when I created the thread - but I haven't received a reply yet.

My hope here, is to create an incubator from which we can hash out the details of the phyle, rather than the phyle itself.

Well, ok, he's apparently Leaving WP.

However, it appears that he's set up his own forum already, so maybe we should ask him if we can use it as a gathering place to do this, since it already exists.
In fact, I'm going to do that.
He links the forum on his farewell thread.

Ok, well, AP is not opposed to it, so I say we move this discussion to his forum for now & really get down to business. :)

See you folks there?

Certainly.

If anyone is interested in discussing the matter, the forum is Aspergian Discussion.
