If I couldn't leave, it would be a deal breaker for me. If I had a spaceship of my own at a time when space travel was commonplace like it is in Star Wars or Star Trek, then that would be different.

I know that applications or inquires are being accepted for this project and if I were younger I would be jumping in that list but I doubt at my age I could meet physical or mental requirements, but I guess you are pretty much being viewed as expendable if you are accepted anyway because it is a one way trip with no plans or intention of participants ever being returned to earth.

No, that is part of the agreement for participants is that you would never be returning to earth. It is a kind of experiment. They are creating, or have already created the simulation training grounds somewhere off in Hawaii.

In that case, I probably would....it would probably have to be a pretty Star-Trekkish journey, though, if I think about it. That or it'd have to be a very short trip.
