The inescapable fact of the matter is that there are too many jerks on this forum.

I don't know if you've gone ahead with your plan as the 25 pages of this thread have been accumulating, but I think that if the site owner gave a damn, he'd already have done something, so my personal solution is to spend more of my time on better sites, such as aspiecentral, and less time here. 8)

please for own safety and peace of mind be aware that there are prolific sock puppeting users here, which not surprisingly makes the community seem more negative as its being overloaded with the same peoples attitude no matter how hard they try to make up new personas and imaginary autism experiences.

was severely bullied by one such prolific sockpuppeter on here and followed to other disabilty forums; long term and because am unable to verbaly communicate it to others IRL and lack the mental capacity to deal with it,had been unable to get support & become severely mentaly ill which showed in suicidal behavior and constant extreme challenging behavior, was detained under a 'section' in a intelectual disability secure hospital for four months because of it,was thrown out of a residential centre because of it.
whether they deliberately meant the consequences to happen or not doesnt excuse their behavior.

itd make more sense to require a scan of our diagnoses and our address before allowing us to use the site, many disability sites and forums require addresses and have known one forum require diagnosis paper scans,it might make people take a bit more personal responsibility.
have always believed treat people how woud like to be treated, why cant everyone follow this?

And for those who don't have a formal diagnosis? "Most" of the truly awful things I've personally seen said on this website were said by people who say they have been diagnosed with Asperger's (according to their profiles). I really don't see how denying access to all of those with no formal diagnosis is going to make WP a better place. If anything it would probably just make it a less populated one.

KOR is one the best posters here with much information and wisdom but her suggestion is a poor one.

Although the "do I have autism" questions get tiring for those of us past that stage of self discovery we must remember that we were at that very confusing stage at one point. As negative as it gets here sometimes a person asking "Am I autistic" will get a much much more informed answer here then in most other forums. If you were forced to ask for help on other forums and were told "Autism is fake" "Autism is an excuse" "Autism is caused by vaccines" "Autistics should be killed off "ASS BURGERS " it is very possible you would still think you were an NT with character flaws.

It is wrong to deny people access to WP because they do not have the means to get diagnosed or they were missed or un diagnosed by an incompetent "professional" .

The problem is not undiagnosed people being allowed to post here, but Alex's "let them be stupid" policy. As said above this is unlikely to change thus we have to as decide on an individual basis. if we will stay here. Does the negatives outweigh the positives or visa versa?
