If you’ve been into fan works for a long time, chances are you’ve noticed that many fan works are crossovers. I’ve come to notice a specific kind of crossover that actually blends the fictional worlds together. I don’t mean that characters from different media simply get fused together – although that is also common – but rather a fan decides to take the concepts of different shows/comics/etc. and weaves them together to create something at once unique and familiar. Although this usually takes the form of a fanfiction, some netizens have made these amalgams the subject of fan art. Over the past week or so, I have collected some of the more interesting pieces of fan art that feature this concept. Why? I don’t have a life. All fusions have been bundled together based on where I found them.
