I find it hilarious how the "View my posts" link takes me to a page where the URL is ...egosearch...

And it's not just here - It's every phpBB2 site I have seen.

Perhaps fixing some of the technical problems on the site would be a suggestion that could be implemented....not getting my hopes up though.

This version of the forum software is ten years old and not under active development of any sort: it is what it is.

A new version is being worked on and only once that is up and running, duplicating the features of this version, will any new features be considered.
There is no estimate of when the new version will be ready.

When I'm visiting this site with my Samsung phone or iPod and there are too many pictures and/or videos in one thread, my internet usually crashes. This makes it difficult for me to read the thread and post replies to it unless I?m using my laptop. I vote for a mobile-friendly version of WrongPlanet.

How about adding "Non-Spectrum Disorder or Condition" for those here who have disorders or conditions not on the autism spectrum, and "Classic Autism" for members who have classic autism rather than aspergers. I know there is already "Other autism spectrum disorder", but I say classic autism should be a separate option.

Hey, do you see that stat underneath the WP logo that says "WP Members: > 80,000"? It should now read "WP Members: > 100,000". The 100,000th and 100,001st members joined on 21 August.

As of right now, there are 88,120 members.

That means that when I went on my megga purge of spammers, I must have deleted around 12,000 spammer accounts! And the count keeps increasing. Every day either me or Cornflake nuke a handful more new spammers accounts.

If I could make a suggestion, could we have strikethrough?

seconded. there are a number of sites that allow one to input text and it comes out as strikethrough.

but still it doesn't work that well when it's copy and pasted so that's why i'm opting for a strikethrough option if it will change things.
maybe it's the soon-to-go forum software?
it (along with other special and foreign characters) just changes to bare code when i put it as my custom rank or location or in my profile. works better in posts.

Brainstorm of an idea. The Wrong Planet has plenty of great boards that address a diversity of issues. But the Love & Dating board, which has been described as (quote) "a cesspool" seems to cause more problems that it's worth. So many members have been hurt on the L&D, propagating many complaints.

So why do we need L&D? The Wrong Planet will be migrating soon enough, so now is a good time for basic housekeeping: maybe eliminate L&D? Just an idear.
