OKEECHOBEE ? A recent prison releasee is back in jail and an adult woman has been arrested after a house party, where juveniles as young as 12 years old were drinking, turned violent.
Andrew Logan Wheeler, 18, S.W. 11th St., Okeechobee, was arrested early Aug. 10 for beating up a 16-year-old boy who reportedly suffers from autism. Wheeler is charged with one felony count of child abuse without great bodily harm and is being held on $20,000 bond in the Okeechobee County Jail.
Wheeler, state arrest affidavits, handed his cell phone to a 17-year-old boy at the party so that he could video the Friday night, Aug. 8, beating. The 47-second video clearly depicts the young boy cowering and crying for Wheeler to stop his onslaught. But Wheeler continues to beat and knee the boy about the head and upper body, added the report.
That video also shows Wheeler pulling the boy across the floor of the home by his hair.
