Hello. For those who could probably guess from my username, my name is in fact Jake and my birthday is on the date of August 21st, 1993. I was unable to think of any of the "Creative" names that many people seem to be capable of creating when it concerns forum discussions and chat rooms such as this one. However, I believe it will serve it's purpose as my personal identity.

Until recently, I have been diagnosed with Aspergers, which I can assume that many of you already know about or have heard of. According to the various psychologists and counselors I have seen, I am ranked to be one of the "Higher Functioning" Aspies in my local community. This, however, has not been much of a comfort to me due to the fact that I am still facing many of the various issues and social stigmas that Aspies like me face on a day to day basis.

In me and my family's pursuit to find any resources that may be able to assist me with this illness, my father managed to stumble on this website. He has informed me that it is a community based forum who mostly consists of people of various Autistic disabilities such as myself, and that it would assist me on being able to converse with others with the same mind set that I have. This can be beneficial to me, as the social aspect and life experience of those who has confronted, faced, and overcome various obstacles that can be found in life could offer me insight on how to be able to successfully live independently, and to ascertain the solutions to various dilemmas that I may encounter.

I will continue to converse with the other users here, and look forward on any advice or solutions that could be used to help me be able to cure this illness.

Great intro. Glad to have you aboard!

I can warn you about what the twenties might be like. :D Others have far more experience and can be even more helpful, I'm sure.
