Quick introduction: I am a 30-something mom of 2 girls (17 and 11). I have been married to my husband for 17 years and we both suspect he may have Asperger's. We are starting the process of getting an official diagnosis. I love my husband, but to be honest, I am emotionally and physically exhausted. I may have reached the burnout point. I am hopeful that we can make this work... But it feels like I am alone in my efforts to save the relationship. Hoping to make connections here to help us both understand each other and to bridge the gap that is currently spanning different universes!

it's ultimately an endless pursuit trying to categorize the precise differences in the ways everyone views existence, I think the best means of keeping ones' family close is to work together with them to positively affect the world around you. Consciousness will always be a mystery, but it continually provides a means to improve its' environs.

I am a female with Aspergers and my husband had just about had it with me. We have one daughter and parenting is very difficult for a person with Aspergers. Getting the testing completed has really helped us a lot. Through counseling he has come to understand better that I am not acting the way I do on purpose and how to better direct me with tasks. I am now on medicine that helps with the anxiety and am working on improving my time management & parenting skills. You should definitely give it a chance. Try to focus on the good as Aspies are so faithful.
