I wish that my life wasn't getting so horrible that it makes my depression worse.
I already have clinical depression just physically in my body, and now life events are making it worse.

I'm taking Abilify for obsessive compulsive fear, sleep issues, and depression, and my depression is not at all helped.

I want to be happy, and even my video games that I dissociate with aren't making me very happy anymore.

Am I supposed to just be depressed for the rest of my life? What even happens to people with depression overall? What if we don't get better?

Drop Ability and replace it with a stabilizing physical activity. For me it has been Aikido. It is very unique in its anti-depressive effects; for example Judo or boxing wouldn't have worked this way for me, and neither did jogging or weightlifting.

Aikido dojos are very friendly to beginners, and the lucid, anti-depressive effect of it doesn't dull over the years like it does with medications.

Don't think it's a good idea to drop prescribed medication without consulting your doctor. I do agree with the physical activity suggestion. This really helps, but you need to find an activity that's right for you.

It's true: you probably shouldn't just stop taking medications. This is because you might have developed a physical dependency upon a specific medication, and you might get withdrawal symptoms.

Physical exercise is EXCELLENT. It's gotten me out of a few depression-situations.

You're a very intelligent person. You should pursue your intellectual interests in addition to your exercising.

I find that when I've done taekwondo, it calms me a lot.

I have very similar problems to you, and I think because all you can really focus on is the taekwondo is what makes you feel better.

Don't worry your depression is going to go because as you get older and mature your way of thinking will change and as the world around you is changing your thinking will change and the old way of thinking you had changes so you'll find those things which depress you right now stupid,, well this happens to me

I've gone through that and still do but when i read about history and some facts and learn new things and research, it makes it better and it slowly goes
