I went to my great aunts funeral today. I didn't kmow her very well at all but went for my grandparents, when she was being buried my nan was in floods of tears. I've never seen her cry and I felt really terrible and I burst into tears myself, lucky my boyfriend was there for support and he wrapped his arms around me and comforted me as best he could for which I'm greatful. But now out of all of his siblings my grandads the last one left and he's 80. I'm really, scared my grandad will go too. Sad

Its difficult to realize those we love are getting old.

Have you considered taping an interview with him? You could come up with a list of questions about his life and interests or hobbies. You could ask him to describe his life as a youngest and complare it to life today. I bet it would be very interesting. You could keep it to share with your children.

Yameretzu - my condolences to you and your family.

Beebee, that's a lovely idea. My grandparents are all long gone, but I wish I had something like that to remember them by. Really good idea Smile
