It would be really interesting to watch how certain people react to the alien's information about what they have seen of the universe. Betcha many of them would refuse to believe what the aliens say.

What do you think?

Aliens would inform us that God is a real big guy with gray skin, and big head, and black almond shaped eyes, who created Grey-kind in his image, and gave Grey-kind a soul!

And we all be so offended by that that we would have no choice to declare holy war on them!

The aliens would claim to be gods and demand we worship them.

Oh, I think the answer to that is simple and really not much different than the Star Wars Trilogy. They would simply say there is an atomic like force at the core of all being that we all share called the Force. Some others might call it GOD, but NEVER the less it IS FORCE. :)

And perhaps some others would call it Unconditional Sacred Love, USL, as it exists, whether people see it or not. ;)

It might be some kind of force/energy but it, most likely, cannot do what it does in Star Wars unless the aliens have learned to manipulate atoms and particles in particular ways which I wonder if they have? Would they be willing to share the info with humans is the question?

Would they feel the need to give us a period of initiation where we are manipulated to behave like disciples or slaves simply to groom us for entry into greater knowledge of the universe? It would, most likely, be inaccurate to assume they do not care or are indifferent to us since humanity cannot, for one second, be indifferent to anything. I would assume a species propelled into space would need this kind of drive to make it into space. They would need to be born explorers and colonizers, like humans, only they have learned, by trial and error, to keep their distance and to take only where it is the least likely to be noticed by anyone who might be similar to them.

So like many Alien Theorists, I agree; they would observe us and then decide what to do next. They could always leave and come back and this would take a long time to accomplish. Or, they could simply be uninterested enough to simply journey on and forget about earth entirely. So many possible outcomes. If you have seen some other worlds you might realize an earth like planet is nothing too special. Something would have to be pretty unlikely to stand out and get their attention. Even if they were watching us somehow, seems like it would take a while to transmute the information to their mother ship as I doubt if they would stay in one location for very long, so why would they bother watching?

I doubt they would demand humans worship them. They would want to be sure we would be friendly before they let themselves be known.

^^

Interesting as manipulating energy through conscious WILL is part of the mythological story I just wrote, per the comment in the other thread. I cannot factually describe it with the scientific details but I know at least in my life, I have been able to do this to some extent, where I do continue to practice and increase this REAL LIFE SKILL through instinct and intuition as time goes on.

Problem being though, is that it is impossible to do this without escaping the illusions of culture that are truly myriad, as well as control over emotions where no con-social emotions exist including the emotion of pride, or 'big headedness'. And yes, this is the pitfall of fame, on relying on others for energy rather than producing it, one's self.

It is why I have complete FAITH AND ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT IN THE GOD OF NATURE that I simply Know AS IS. IT IS SO MUCH more than can ever be learned in A TEXTBOOK, PER THE SPECIAL FEATURES OF GOD, so far today, but I do have trust that science is still OPEN enough to find the answers one day that as a human being I already know to be both TRUTH AND REAL. :)

And in my opinion, there is no way that an advanced species, advanced enough to escape their own planet to another solar system, can be anything but ethically advanced, as they would have killed each other off, well before they left their own solar system, without what I know to be the most POWERFUL FORCE IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE: THE FORCE OF UNCONDITIONAL SACRED LOVE. Relatively RARE YES, here, but yes It most definitely does exist, STILL, among the minority of folks here on THIS earth 'right' now. :) AND I DO HAVE COMPLETE faith it will continue to GROW this way.

As it simply feels good, and human innately eventually do what feels good, in negativeLY, but most importantLY IN POSITIVE SACRED LOVING WAYS TOO!

I think they wouldn?t care about what gods or other supernatural beings we choose to believe in any more than we care about the beliefs of ants :P

If ants could have beliefs some human somewhere would be interested in what they were. As far as we know, they have none.

If they're similar enough to us (which they would be for us to understand one another), then they've probably been through the same stages as us.

You know, god and religion are fiction, but since it's an emotion, it's understandable that people feel that there's a higher spiritual power.

They could be on a quest for something in the Universe. Don't think humans are the only species capable of questing. Which makes me wonder...would earth be a miss for most alien space craft since they would likely head away from distant earth and toward the center of the 'verse? That's another possibility I have entertained. What if earth is too backwoods to bother venturing to? It's too out-of-the way and in the boondocks and space being so...well...spacey, what if just isn't worth the hassle?

This is the boondocks.

If anyone ever comes, it will likely be a third hand obsolete freighter, with a crew that had to leave where they were, seeking a new life beyond Galactic Law.

They would be the Somali Pirates of space, trying to sell a stolen ship load of water.

Europeans have the same will to explore, kill the locals, now beyond the laws of their nations, gods, and plant their flag on the graves.

Anyone from space should be treated like The Islamic State, or the Europeans landing in the Americas.

They did not come to bring us gifts.

Remember the holy men in black dresses? They burned five million at the stake for love. That was just in Europe.

We are safe, if they speak to the Chicom, Russians, or Americans, the other two will nuke them.

It would be best to send a delagation to capture their ship and send them to Gitmo, the gulag, or a reducation camp.

If you thought driving while black was bad, try gray or green.

Maybe they are VERY interested in the place, but only as real estate.

Any minute they will come in and flatten the whole Solar System, and in its place they will put up a Walmart.

If that ever happened, that means the Aliens would have had such a superior technology than ours, meaning a much more advance civilization, that they would have given up the B.S theory of the imaginary friend (God) a long time ago and would see us has a bunch of primates for believing in something in which no proof proves it's existence.
Plus if Aliens ever came, it would make all religions instantly obsolete and void, what wouldn't be a bad thing, because it will change the world, a world without the believes of god means a world that will advance faster in the arts, in technology, and it would stop pissing off others with stupid moral values because it written in a few nonsense holly books

Or, I'll go with ahogday's answer about they say God is a force.

What do you think?

Religion will come up with ad hoc explanations and all will be fine.
