I'm not really 'new' here. I joined a couple years ago and made a couple posts before leaving for awhile. I'm a Aspie male in his later 20s and have various social related anxiety disorders. I hail from southern Illinois in the city of Belleville which is just east of St. Louis on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River.
I'm into weather, specifically severe weather like storms, hurricanes. snow, high winds, and temperature records (cold and hot). I have an interest in astronomy specifically comets, meteor showers, auroras, eclipses, planetary alignments, etc. For fun I either 'act' out my fantasies (I call it pretending) which involves pacing around the room talking and making various noises. I play computer games including Star Wars the Old Republic, Star Trek Online, Civilization V: Brave New World, Plague, Inc, Starcraft, and Supreme Ruler to name several. I also like to vegie and watch TV especially in the evening as a wind down activity as well as cuddling with my Toy Manchester Terrier named Angel and my Lovebird named Petite. I'm also into certain kinds of clothing like hoodies, coats, jackets and the like (obsess about) as well as spandex suits and sunglasses. I love things that hide one's identity and make you a anonymous human shaped object rather then a person. I also can't eat things with cute faces on it. (Curse you chocolate ladybugs!)
I was diagnosed with my 'special gift' of Autism Spectrum Disorder @ age 2, and my generalized anxiety disorders @ age 21. I'm typically a happy go lucky person who likes people to be happy and strongly dislikes when people are sad or upset/angry as it can drum up tensions in me. @ High School my ASD was revised to Asperger's Syndrome (AS) which made more sense as I could communicate fairly coherently, but was also quite 'expressive' of my favorite obsession of the time so to speak, or other various interests of mine.
Well there's my story in a nutshell which I still consider by my definition as quite Spartan, but if I ran on it would likely exceed the character count for a post and leave people dozed in a massive wall of text.
Glad to be back!
