Wasn't sure where to post this but as it's something to do with my head, I thought this was probably the best place. I've been experiencing something I don't understand and wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced anything similar and what might it be?

I remember it was about 11 something PM and went to bed. After tossing and turning for what seemed like 30-40 mins I gave up and picked up my mobile phone to check the time. I was shocked that the time reading 10.45 pm. This didn't just happen today. It's happens almost every day.

I also see movement in my peripheral vision but when I look there's nothing there. This happens frequently throughout the day. I could swear I saw a used tissue scoot across my desk once.

I've had other strange experiences but these are the main ones bothering me right now.

Thanks in advance.

you're not the only one. in my presence several times, objects have flown across the room. :alien:
I am guessing that is poltergeist activity, as there were witnesses.

are you sure the clock on your mobile phone is correct? :)

i know what it's like seeing objects in peripheral vision that may or may not be there, i used to stay up late at night in my living room and swear, figures have passed by the open window, or parallel to me just outside the room.

late at night, i am accustomed to being completely alone, and these figures startle me enough to make me scream loud enough to wake up my parents, asleep in the room behind me.

Yeah, I reckon those things aren't that rare but it's the time thing that really does my head in. It's a proper  moment when it happens.

Things flying across the room def sounds like paranormal activity. I believe in all that but it doesn?t explain seeing time that hasn?t arrived yet. [/quote]

Lol hehe. My clocks are all the same. In fact when this last happened, I checked my mobile clock against my pc time to make sure. I?ve never seen figures that resembles a human being *gulp!*. I?d probably run out the house from fright. I'm wondering how come you always see them outside and not in the same room as you? Maybe they are shadows from passers-by or swaying branches?

As for the clock one, I found a theory on it. It?s something to do with metaphysics and seeing time that has yet to come. I can?t explain it well and I can?t remember the website either. Sorry : )

swaying branches, probably. :) right outside the bathroom there are palm trees, and there's window adjacent to the shower curtains so whenever i'm in there and the shadows of the leaves rustle and i can see the shadows on the curtains i get a little jump sometimes.

but it could be figures too! i mean i live with my uncle and he comes home at midnight from work so maybe that's an explanation.

that metaphysics thing sounds interesting! does it have anything to do with the stopped clock illusion and saccadic masking/flash supression maybe...?
