About 5 years ago, I took a small dose of a somewhat potent antipsychotic Zyprexa and have not been the same since. I've lost the ability to feel and think properly, become prone to anger and confusion, and honestly torment. I'm wondering whether there's others in my shoes and if there's something that could correct it.
Any advice on whether to consider my condition simply traditional schizophrenia, or how I should seek out others who have had this chemical alteration in their brain from a medication.

I'm looking for an agent that can reverse the effect of the medication, either in part or completely ideally.

I should make it clear that I came off the Zyprexa and other antipsychotics after having the reaction, that is to say, 5 years ago....

I had a pretty similar reaction to large doses of risperidone.

I don't know how to fix it. I'm kind of learning to live with it and starting to feel more like myself after three years.

Maybe.

I'm sorry I don't have better advice. It's nice for me to know I'm not alone in this. Hope that at least helps you too.

Caffeine builds dependency more than any other compound I've ever ingested - I found a particular tea that most consistently resulted in calm, productive days for me, I imagine there's a point of stimulation which might work similarly for you.

Is THAT why I live with the coffee pot in hand, lol???

Chamomile tea seems to help some with irritability.

I took lexapro to help with my anxiety and suicidal thoughts and I went from ahving suicidal thoughts once a week or so to having them everyday.

I obviously went offthe lexapro with my doctors help, but it has been probably 4-5 months and I still think I have more problems with thoughts of worthlessness than before. I feel a lot more fragile emotionally.

Do you have schizophrenia already?

The changes in your brain function could be the symptoms of your schizophrenia progressing. Having taken the medication whilst at the beginning of the decline might have been a coincidence.

I don't think there are any agents that can reverse any damage that Zyprexa might have caused you, if indeed, that is the case.
