Hey I'm Joseph from the united kingdom. I've been looking at the forums for idk how many months now, and finally decided to join. I hope to make some new friends amongst the Aspie community. I was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was 4. I never really understood what Asperger's was or that I was "different". I was bullied from 4 to 11 years old. I hated school, until my mum put me into a special school for secondary or high school for you Americans. It was between the years of 11 to 16 when I made my first real friends and started to understand what Asperger's is.
Now my 17 year old self is studying Creative media at college. I love it and my life time dream (witch will likely not happen) is to become a Director. I have made friends with autistic people and NT's. although my anxiety holds me back from being myself in front of new people, and just seem to find myself in the background waiting for potential friends to approach me. other than that I would call my self a nice guy, love being around friends and family and writing and making short films.
That's my life in two short paragraphs, sorry in advance if I've rambled on a bit... hope I don't come across depressive cuz if I have that's not intestinal. Plus what does NT mean? I've gathered its people not on the spectrum, but what does the abbreviation stand for?
