After reading some of the threads and posts here on WP for a while I think your embarrassment might fade.

Some of the things you mention do sound like autistic traits, not being comfortable in social situations being the biggest common denominator probably. Also being picky about things being a certain way and structure. These things are comfort/reference points I guess to autistics. It is of course had in all degrees, hence the Spectrum. Many self diagnose and leave it at that. A formal diagnosis is not always required or wanted. If you want to find out, then its a matter of self research and probably taking the self tests available online. Try and keep an open mind, as it might be something else or nothing at all. But is not at all uncommon for people not to figure it out till later in life.

I also did not see your original post, but based on the title I believe I am in a similar situation. Also welcome!

Sorry everyone - I panicked. I should have done some creeping first before jumping in. I'm a bit paranoid about online/social media prescence.

Hi and welcome to Wrong Planet. I was going to suggest you look around before worrying about what you post. I think most of us have posted stuff we shouldn't have. I've seen some people on here have 'written meltdowns' at times but hey. We've all been there at one time or another. We all understand.

You don't have to put your real name down so you can remain totally anonymous and I'm sure you'll find a lot of the members have experienced things that you may be going through and can often provide you with insightful, useful help.

You'll be right. Once again, welcome! :)
