Hello all, I stopped smoking/vaping awhile back, but now I eat too much fastfood (my new addiction). I do workout a lot so Im still fit, but I am getting alil fat on my stomach due to the fact that Im eating more calories. Now my calorie intake a side; Is eating all that crap (bad fats etc) and other crap they have in fastfood worse than nicotine? I've been thinking of vaping again. Also, Im not talking about tobacco.. only nicotine, since I'm going to vape.
What are your guys opinion or thoughts about this.
Thanks for the response.

I would say that the fast food is worse for you. I gained a LOT of weight when I started eating fast food again after a few years of a sensible diet. Vaping has very few to no side effects compared to the long-term effects of fast food.

Yeah that's my thought, Im not worried about getting fat tho, but the health-risks fastfood has.

I'd say work on the food addiction instead of returning to the nicotine addiction. Find a replacement for fast food. Eat healthier foods instead, just like you found alternatives to smoking. If you can give up nicotine (which is as addictive as heroin), then you can stop eating fast food all the time.

I replied in the General Discussion forum, but in addition to what I said there about nicotine being an appetite suppressant as an explanation for increased appetite following quitting, exercise also helps suppress appetite---temporarily. The problem is that it's only temporary.

Eliminating the toxins and carcinogens involved with tobacco use, the health negative of pure nicotine seems to be increased blood pressure. But the artery clogging crap in fast food will lead to arteriosclerosis faster, and ultimately lead to blockages. Still, it would be ideal if you could eliminate both.

I read that quitting smoking increases a persons sense of taste and smell, which is why they may eat more because food now actually has flavor. I have never smoked so you don't want to hear me go on about how awful I think it is and much worse than fast food. I'll just say that your body needs food to survive, it doesn't need tobacco one bit.
